1. Service Description
Demumu is a lightweight safety tool designed for people living alone. Users check in daily with a single tap to report their safety status. If you fail to check in for 48 consecutive hours, the system automatically sends an alert email to your emergency contacts. This app aims to provide safety protection for solo dwellers, giving family and friends peace of mind.
2. Account and Usage
- You can use Demumu's basic features without registration, but need to set up emergency contact information
- You promise to provide accurate emergency contact information and assume responsibility for consequences of inaccurate information
- You should properly secure your device to prevent unauthorized access to your account
- Using Demumu for any illegal or improper purposes is prohibited
3. Data Collection and Usage
- Demumu only collects emergency contact information you voluntarily provide (name, email address)
- Your check-in records are used solely to determine whether to trigger a safety alert
- Emergency contact information is encrypted and only used when an emergency alert is triggered
- We do not collect, store, or share your personal identity information, location data, or other sensitive data
- We do not require you to log in to any third-party accounts or provide a phone number
4. Emergency Alert Service
When you fail to check in for 48 consecutive hours, the system will automatically send an alert email to your designated emergency contact. Please note: Demumu only provides notification services and does not assume rescue obligations. Actions taken by emergency contacts after receiving the notification are at their own discretion.
5. Service Changes and Interruptions
- We reserve the right to modify or suspend the service at any time without prior notice
- We are not liable for service interruptions caused by network failures, equipment maintenance, force majeure, etc.
- Significant feature changes will be communicated through in-app notifications or website announcements
6. Disclaimer
- Demumu is a safety assistance tool and cannot replace professional rescue services or emergency alert systems
- We are not liable for service failures caused by device malfunction, network interruption, or user error
- Whether emergency contacts take action after receiving an alert, and what actions they take, is at their own discretion; we are not responsible for the results
- You assume the risk of using this service
7. Intellectual Property
The intellectual property rights of Demumu app and its related content (including but not limited to software, design, text, images, trademarks, etc.) belong to us. Without authorization, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or otherwise use these contents.
8. Agreement Changes
We reserve the right to modify this agreement at any time. The modified agreement will be published in the app or on the official website. Continued use of the service indicates your acceptance of the revised agreement. Significant changes will be notified to you through appropriate means.
9. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
This agreement is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. In case of disputes, both parties should resolve them through friendly consultation; if consultation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with the people's court at our location.
